Born and grew up in South Korea, I began my journey as a designer at Sisley, Benetton Korea in Seoul, where I oversaw design elements across multiple production lines. My responsibilities included managing the development of outerwear, woven tops and bottoms, dresses, sweaters, and knits. During my 7+ years as head designer, Sisley transformed into a top brand in the young contemporary market in Korea. The Sisley brand also exported my designs to international fashion capitals like Hong Kong and Japan, allowing me to gain an understanding of international market value in Asia.
I have over 10 years of experience working with various fashion companies, including Bernardo, Guess? Ladies, and American Eagle Outfitters in New York City. I have a strong background in women's outerwear, woven, cut-and-sew knitwear, activewear, swimwear including cover-ups. I love creating new silhouettes and meticulous details in structured woven styles, as well as soft, washed-texture styles. I enjoy designing targeted assortments of new season products that customers love.
My focus is on creating brand-right, commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction and business strategy. I am keenly aware of consumer identities, business growth, and sustainability.
I love learning new things that impact life. I spend most of my time seeking daily inspirations that reflect in my creations. I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to new podcasts, and having a big laugh. I love enjoying family life with my young daughter. Recently, I have been focusing on helping people find meaningful lives.
